Today,  I would like you to start by opening up your Noodletools research, and printing it out.  I will lead you through the steps, but please login using this link:

Once you have your research in hand, I would like you to begin your Prezi.

The look of Prezi has changed a bit since we last worked with it, so let me show you a quick tutorial:

Mathletics Challenge!

Hi 6th Grade!

Today begins our first annual January Mathletics Challenge!

For the rest of the month of January, we will be keeping track of the number of correct answers you achieve during Live Mathletics. The student from each homeroom with the highest totals will receive an HTS fleece that says: "Mathlete of the Month." Prizes will also be awarded to the top five students in each class.

We will spend time doing Mathletics in class, but you are also encouraged to play on this website in After School and at home.  If you have an iPad, you may download the free Mathletics app.

We would like you to stay on the level you have been assigned, or work a bit above. You will not be given credit for any answers from levels 8, 9 or 10 - we simply don't want you guessing on problems you don't know yet!

If you have any questions, please let me know!

You can access Mathletics here:  http://www.mathletics.com

Have fun!

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2013, 6th grade!

Today, we will continue with your Around the World Research on NoodleBib.

We will continue researching during this week and next, then will move to creating the Prezi for your project.

I corrected all your work to date, and have a few general comments and suggestions:

  • In general, your work has been great, but a reminder to you that I do expect complete sentences, and proper nouns must be capitalized!
  • Please be sure to use the checklist to make sure you are answering the questions.
  • Please "pile" your notecards according to country... I will show you how to do this.
